Nick, give me a call, maybe one of us can drive around in the trunk and listen for the sound. Give me a call, maybe this weekend or tomorrow if it doesnt rain. Also check your icq since I sent you the Clutch part number. I am sure I can help you with it. Did you grease the bushings with a TON of grease. Grease is the key for most sounds. Otherwise clunking might be it hitting the exhaust. We'l look at it. Maybe someone else has had this exact prob though.

Hope you have stiffer springs... my second gen Skunk2 bar ripped out at the lower control arm attach point... Ripped a fvcking 1 1/2" hole in my damn car... I'm sooooo damn pissed as this was the redesigned bar that wasn't supposed to do that! Also gos to show you how shitty/soft the Neuspeed springs are... I hear the OE sports a good though...

I just put the 22mm sway bar on my car and its starting to make noises. Clanging around corners and such. Ive all ready tightened the end link bolts pretty tight, but not smashing the bushings. I totaly gutted my trunk, side panels and all, then taped and ziptied all loose stuff. And I know my strut tower brace is tight. Both springs are seated correctly and bolted up top. It driving my crazy!!! I have to fix this problem soon, cuz I have my first autocross Oct 1 w/ a bunch of my friend and family. I would hate to look like a chump the first time out. If anyone has any input on what could be up with these noises please tell me.
thanks in advance as always

Yea I have the Eibach prokit on the car. I called Progess and they said it was a common problem for it to hit the lower control arm and the exhaust. I was like WHAT! They said since its twice the size of the stock one that it will hit something. That sucks.
I had the upper holes for the bar to mount to , I hope I dont have the same problem as Zeus.
Zeus-did you have the monting holes already, or did you have to make them....
thanks

I used to have the Progress bar, I believe it MIGHT have contributed to ripping out my mounting spot on my driver side. But I also believe that the bar never hit my exhaust. I also heard creak noises going around corners and up driveways slanted. It was too stiff driving around town but it cut across lanes and cornered awesome! I eventually took it out and got a Z-Speed bar and , after time, holes in my mounting area got ripped out. I believe the Z-Speed was MORE at fault, since there was no support bracket like the Progress. I then got the area welded back together and put the stock bar back on. Weird thing is, creaking noises are still there sometimes going around corners!(?) But at least the holes were fixed. Where the heck is that noise coming from?

The "creaking" noise is definitely there with my 22mm Skunkworks, but I know for a fact that it's not hitting up against the exhaust or anything else. This ONLY happens when going up my driveway, when one side of the car is significantly higher than other side. Hell, tires even lift off the ground it's so stiff. Turning response is definitely better than stock.
All this talk about ripped-out holes though. I've got RSR race springs, a little boucy for my taste on street roads, but it does its job during turns and high-speed freeway runs. Other than that, not a single problem. Love 'em! Should I worry about them ripping out?

When you say "ripping out the mounting bolts" up mean the upper bolts that attach the center mounts to the car. Everyone that has had them ripped out, did you have to make the holes or were they already there "threaded"?? I have the threaded holes and they seem fine. How long until you noticed they were ripping? Because the instructions said that you should weld the mounts only if you had to make your own holes. I hope noone has had this problem with the progress. Please get back to me with more info....
to be continued.................

Swaybar upgrade & rip-out is a BIG topic on the other board - http://honda-tech.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?forum=6.
General opinion is to go with the Type-R bar & a mounting kit.

Me and my buddy seemed to have fixed the problem. All we did was put some washers in the endlink to space it out more(raise the bar). It only took 6 washers and not more noise!!! thank god, could stand it anymore.
Also Im going to have my upper mounts welded. I dont like all this talk about ripping them out...
thanks
